Artist Lars Vilks, who caused controversy by drawing cartoons that depicted the prophet Muhammad as a dog, has been attacked while giving a lecture at Uppsala University.
The attack was prompted when Wilks showed a film with gaymen wearing headmasks of prophet Muhammad. People were shouting: "Turn off the Movie" and " Why are you doing this to us, this is pornography" and "You dishonor Muhammad". Police and security guards were present at the lecture and two men were arrested for the assault.
